Since forming in 1914 Fire Company 1 has responded to thousands of calls.
Each one has been kept in our records, of which we still have most of.
Below is an excerpt from our records in 1933, Company 1 responded to 9 calls for service, of which 2 were house fires and 2 were car fires.
During this period there were several brush fires, interestingly one on November 30th, 1933 was caused by a spark from a passing train.
